Planting
Due to the Autumn being relatively small, you can fit it into a lot of areas. Just keep in mind that they require full sun. Give it an average amount of water during infancy, then reduce watering once established.
Care
Autumn is very easy to take care of. During the growing season, it should grow relatively evenly, but if you see a branch growing ‘wild,’ just trim it off. If you want more flowers during the growing season, deadhead the flowers. During late winter you need to trim the Autumn down to 4 to 6 inches, which will provide fresh, healthy growth & flowers during the growing season. Because it’s native to Texas and Mexico, it’s drought tolerant, which allows you to plug all of its emitters except on and it’ll thrive. In climates that have extremely cold winters, the Autumn will be deciduous, but where the winters are mild, they’re evergreen.
Flowers
Autumn Sage has small, bell-shaped flowers that come in many different colors.
Varieties
With a name like ‘Burgundy Seduction,’ you probably know exactly what color this variety is. ‘Flame’ is another great selection with its crimson bright flowers. Do your research because there are so many colors to choose from!
Invasive
It is not invasive.
